"My Favorite" channel on Fanffair and why I love this

Before I start answering this, I want to share my views on how, over a period of time, the nature of news feed has changed in Facebook. I love Facebook. Generally speaking, I love to get all the updates I get from my friends  and extended family members. But as I became more and more entrenched user of facebook, I figured out that facebook has far more to offer than what meets the eyes. I started coming across new and newer fan pages, few through self-exploration, few  through friends. And obviously, I started hitting Like buttons on those pages. Frankly, I love the updates from all those pages.
However, somewhere I failed to notice that non-personal updates have taken over the personal updates. I looked into my profile today and noticed I have liked 176 pages over a period of time. Today I receive only 1 personal update out of every 10 news feed updates. And I don’t see I will stop liking newer pages as I enjoy the posts from those pages as well.
Somewhere I lost the old Facebook. Updates from Fan pages have crowded out the updates from friends and family and I don’t see a going back on this.
Here comes fanffair.com with it’s latest feature “My Favorites” - http://fanffair.com/channel/my-favorite. I have already started using it and I am loving it. I have added around 25 odd Pages under “My Favorite” and I track them on Fanffair.
How about you? Do give it a try and let me know your comments. Remember you need to login in order to use this feature and then you have to add your pages to “My Favorite” by clicking the plus (“+”) button on the information box of the respective page as highlighted below.
